Welcome to
Nunyara Care Plus

Nurse Lead Community Home Care

The word Nunyara was borrowed from the Indigenous Australian language and means “to become well again.”

It reflects our belief that health is not just about treating conditions—it’s about restoring dignity, clarity, and connection.

Nunyara Care Plus — because complex care isn’t just an aged care issue. We support people of all ages, cultures, and needs across disability, health, and care systems.

Dedicated to delivering high-impact, compassionate care, Nunyara Care Plus offers services that empower individuals, improve lives, and bridge the gap between the health system and real-life outcomes.

Our Motto:

Compassion, Insight, Direction

Founders Story

🌿 Julie Jordan-Ely – Founder, Nunyara Care Plus

Nunyara Care Plus Philosophy

"To support, empower, and promote health through nurse-led care that is holistic, culturally safe, and deeply human".

At the heart of Nunyara Care Plus is a belief that health is not just the absence of illness, but the presence of dignity, connection, clarity, and the ability to thrive within community. Inspired by the word “Nunyara” — meaning “to become well again,” from the language of First Nations peoples of Australia — and guided by the promise of Care Plus, our philosophy centres on relationship-based care that is supportive, responsive, and grounded in respect.

We believe in care that is:

  • Clinically grounded – delivered by experienced nurses using evidence-based practice.

  • Culturally responsive – honouring each person’s background, story, and voice.

  • Compassionately connected – fostering trust, respect, and genuine relationships.

  • Clear and coordinated – helping clients and carers navigate complex systems with confidence.

  • Capable and capacity-building – sharing knowledge, advocating for needs, and encouraging self-direction.

  • Accessible and adaptable – meeting people where they are — physically, emotionally, and socially.

Nunyara Care Plus is dedicated to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds across the NDIS, DVA, hospital discharge, and home care systems. Whether we’re providing a one-time nursing assessment or ongoing holistic support, our approach remains the same:

Whole-person care, delivered with purpose, integrity, and deep respect for the journey.

Our Vision, Mission & Values

 Our Vision Statement

At Nunyara Care Plus, our vision is to lead compassionate, nurse-led care that empowers people of all ages to live with dignity, connection, and clarity—regardless of where they are on their health journey.

Founded by Julie Jordan-Ely, our service blends clinical expertise with deep empathy. We go beyond symptom management to support not just health, but the person as a whole—honouring their values, choices, and lived experience.

While we recognise that health cannot always be restored, we believe in the power of care to transform quality of life, nurture confidence, and bring meaning to every stage of life.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission at Nunyara Care Plus is to provide precision nurse-led care that is grounded in respect, guided by expertise, evidence based best-practice and responsive to each person’s unique needs—whether their goal is recovery, stability, comfort, or clarity.

We work alongside individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan, helping them navigate health, disability, and aged care systems with greater ease.

Acknowledging that cure isn’t always possible, we focus on what is: meaningful support, improved quality of life, and care that upholds dignity at every stage.

At the heart of our approach is the principal and framework of C.I.D. — Compassion, Insight, and Direction:

  • C – Compassion
Representing our values of Care, Connection, Cultural Sensitivity, and Clarity—these reflect the emotional, human, and relational foundation of our service.

  • I – Insight
Encompassing Integrity, Insight, Inner Strength, and Integration—highlighting our clinical excellence, ethical practice, positive resilience, and collaborative care approach.

  • D – Direction
Embodying Depth, Dignity, Dedication, and Direction—capturing our long-term focus, commitment, and holistic approach to supporting individual goals.

This guiding principal and framework shape our core values and ensure that each person receives care that is compassionate, clinically informed, and purposefully directed toward improving their quality of life.

Our Values Statement

At Nunyara Care Plus, our values are the foundation of every interaction, decision, and intervention. We recognise that care is not just about treating conditions—it’s about walking alongside people with empathy, skill, and respect, no matter where they are on their journey.

We are committed to:

  • Care – Providing person-centred, compassionate support that honours each individual’s story, choices, and culture.

  • Connection – Building genuine relationships based on trust, respect, and shared goals.

  • Cultural Sensitivity – Practising in ways that are inclusive, equitable, and accessible—ensuring care is safe, respectful, and reflective of diverse lived experiences, identities, and needs.

  • Clarity – Demystifying complex systems so people and families feel informed, confident, and in control.

  • Integrity – Acting with honesty, transparency, and accountability—always.

  • Insight – Drawing from deep clinical knowledge and lived experience to offer care that is thoughtful, proactive, and responsive to each person’s unique situation.

  • Inner Strength – Encouraging positive resilience in those we support, and drawing on our own strength and adaptability to meet challenges with compassion and resolve.

  • Integration – Collaborating across disciplines and services to ensure seamless, effective care.

  • Depth – Offering thoughtful, evidence-informed support that addresses the full context of each person’s needs.

  • Dignity – Upholding the inherent value of every individual, especially during vulnerable and complex times.

  • Dedication – Showing unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of those we serve, going above and beyond to deliver consistent, quality care.

  • Direction – Helping clients move forward with purpose, whether toward recovery, stability, or comfort.

These values shape who we are—not only as nurses and consultants, but as advocates, educators, and trusted allies in care.
